Vanessa Labrecque is one of the owners of the Cannabis Cooking Company, which operates in the city’s downtown. On their next event, she will bake a batch of weed-spiced cookies as a way to celebrate the first post-legalization Holiday season.

The cookies in question will be gingerbread men. The highly popular snack was chosen due to how easy they are to make, and the fact that spices help mask the distinctive taste of cannabis.

“It’s a traditional thing and people like making them because you can decorate them,” she said. Labrecque also pointed out that the cookies can be tailored for each person’s weed tolerance threshold.

On the wake of legalization, more and more people are giving edibles a try. The Cannabis Cooking company is getting an immense amount of inquiries regarding how to incorporate the plant into their meals.
